Privacy Policy

This privacy policy details our approach to collecting, using, and protecting personal information, ensuring strict compliance with privacy principles. Confidential information includes:

  1. All data contained in a tax file.
  2. Information defined as confidential under the Act respecting Access to documents held by public bodies and the Protection of personal information (CQLR, c. A-2.1), referred to here as the “Access Act.”
  3. Information considered confidential under section 295 of the Excise Tax Act (RSC 1985, c. E-15), referred to here as the “ETA.”
  4. Any information concerning current processing, verification, and control procedures; any data, analyses, or conclusions contained in reports produced under the terms of a contract; and any other information deemed privileged that could be disclosed to media representatives in direct or indirect connection with a contract or arising from its implementation. SOMUM, its subcontractors, and their employees undertake not to make public announcements or issue press releases or publications containing information directly or indirectly related to confidential data acquired in the course of their duties without first obtaining the approval of the client’s public relations director. In the event of a media inquiry, contractors are required to immediately redirect the request to the public relations director. The public relations director will review the request and provide a response or take appropriate action, as appropriate.
